Fingerprint Ladybug Spring Craft for Toddlers

We love seasonal crafts that we can put on the walls but also use to document stages of development. Every season, we make crafts with fingerprints. I have been trying to find some ideas that I liked enough to put on the wall but also that could be completed without spending money on anything new.

Materials Needed for Craft:

  • Red paint (kid safe, any shade of red)
  • Green paint (kid safe, any shade of green)
  • Black paint (kid safe)
  • Black marker (for adult use)
  • Q-tips
  • One paint brush good for leaf shapes
  • String for hanging (if desired)
  • Surface for craft (pieces of wood like we used, paper, or anything you might want cute fingerprints on)
  • Drill (if you choose to make hanging wooden ornaments)

Step 1: Use fingers for red dots for the ladybug’s body

Step 2: Use q-tips for dotting ladybugs’ backs and to give them heads

Step 3: Add leaves with green paint and paint brush

Step 4: Using black marker, add lines to ladybugs’ backs, antennas to heads, and lines to leaves

Step 5: (Optional) Drill holes and add string to hang

I hope you and your littles enjoy this fun spring craft!
