We love seasonal crafts that we can put on the walls but also use to document stages of development. Every season, we make crafts with fingerprints. I have been trying to find some ideas that I liked enough to put on the wall but also that could be completed without spending money on anything new.
Materials Needed for Craft:
- Red paint (kid safe, any shade of red)
- Green paint (kid safe, any shade of green)
- Black paint (kid safe)
- Black marker (for adult use)
- Q-tips
- One paint brush good for leaf shapes
- String for hanging (if desired)
- Surface for craft (pieces of wood like we used, paper, or anything you might want cute fingerprints on)
- Drill (if you choose to make hanging wooden ornaments)
Step 1: Use fingers for red dots for the ladybug’s body

Step 2: Use q-tips for dotting ladybugs’ backs and to give them heads

Step 3: Add leaves with green paint and paint brush

Step 4: Using black marker, add lines to ladybugs’ backs, antennas to heads, and lines to leaves

Step 5: (Optional) Drill holes and add string to hang

I hope you and your littles enjoy this fun spring craft!
