Furniture Restoration: Bedside Table

Recently, I had been on my husband’s Facebook account looking for ducks. Unfortunately, that ended up being a bit pointless because we didn’t find any duck. However, I did find this little cabinet thing for free. So, I asked my husband to go get it for me.

This is what it looked like when he picked it up. I liked that it was a weird shape. I am also very particular about what kind of furniture we have because I need want to have stuff that might not be safe around children. So, I liked that it sits on the floor and is solid enough that it won’t every fall over.

My husband took everything off of it before he helped me sand it. We bought new magnets, knobs, and hinges.

It was about 88º outside when I was painting, it took about an hour and a half to finish because it was so hot. It was kind of nice because it dried super fast. Then my husband added all of the new magnets, knobs, and hinges to it.

It is now being used as a bedside table and storage for our board games and Bibles. Our child absolutely loves it.
