Summer Pizza Night

Summer Pizza Night

Summer is a time for fun and fresh produce. I love a theme, so I was very excited to make summer pizzas. I make our pizza dough from scratch with sourdough starter. So, there is a long wait, but a worthwhile wait.

We wanted to test out the taste of the tomatoes and olives. So, we made one pizza with the tomatoes and olives baked in the oven, and then a second pizza with the tomatoes and olives added after the pizza was baked. Which we also did for the mozzarella pearls and tiny tomatoes for the flowers. I personally liked the baked tomatoes and olives better than the non-baked ones.

Overall, adding the lady bugs and flowers only took us about 5 minutes extra. Super yummy and adorable for summer pizza nights.
